Suffolk Provincial Grand Lodge
Introduction
Dear Visitor,
We would like to extend a warm welcome to you on your visit to this web site covering the Province of Suffolk.
Whether you are already a member of our Fraternity, either in this Province, elsewhere in England or from overseas, or are just dropping in out of interest, we trust that you find the following pages provide some areas of satisfaction.
Our Charity activities now extend far beyond the welfare of our own family circle. These days we make considerable contributions every year from our own resources to cancer and other medical research, cathedral re-building funds, the RNLI and an extensive list of other charities particularly to hospices and many childrens' charities. This is in addition to maintaining our own Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution, the Masonic Trust for Boys and Girls the New Masonic Samaritan Fund and the Grand Charity of the United Grand Lodge of England.
Many people have strange understandings of Freemasonry, and indeed Freemasons; I hope that this site will help to inform and perhaps dispel some of those misunderstandings, and allow you to see the role that Freemasonry has in society in general and our local community in particular.
